The Beehive Policies
The Beehive is growing and we have recently met a lot of new friends (which is so great!). However, we realized that with a larger group, it is necessary to enact some policies to keep everyone safe so that we can keep throwing parties and having fun. listed below are the Beehive's Policies which are mandatory to follow at all Beehive Events.
1. The Beehive does not have designated medical staff on site, therefore we are unable to accept, hold, or dispense ANY medications. We know that many of our friends take medication around dinnertime. We ask that attendees refrain from bringing medications to take while at the events, and instead take their medication before or after the event.
2. The Beehive will attempt to ensure that our friends with dietary restrictions have safe options for food during the events. However, we cannot ensure a completely allergy safe environment, nor can we stop attendees from eating food that is available at the events. Friends with dietary restrictions should be able to select the food that fits their needs and avoid foods that do not. Attendees are always welcome to bring their own meal.
3. Beehive volunteers are not able to assist their friends with toileting or dressing.
4. Friends attending Beehive events must not exhibit behaviors that are aggressive, disruptive, dangerous to themselves or others, or destructive to property. If a friend is behaving in a manner that is deemed disruptive or not safe, their parents will be called and they will need to be picked up.
5. As the events have attendance limits and wait lists - please be considerate and cancel on the Sign up Genius or by contacting Meredith if you are not able to make it. We want to move as many friends off the wait list as possible so that all can join in the fun!
6. We are borrowing or renting spaces for our events. Therefore, we need to honor the time limit on the event that we gave to our hosts when we scheduled. We need to end our events promptly at the time that they are scheduled to finish.
Please reach out to Meredith with any questions, comments or concerns. We are SO happy to have gotten to know you and can't wait to see you at the next event!
